Federal Court Order re insolvency of The Blue Douglas Pty Ltd.

The company, Blue Douglas Pty Ltd, which owned the theatre has gone into liquidation via federal court proceedings in July 2020.

What does this mean? It means that the theatre will soon be listed for sale via the liquidation company. Given the public interest shown earlier in the year, before COVID-19 impacts, we have contacted Mid-Western Regional Council and the matter is, again, on the Council meeting agenda.

In August, Mid-Western Regional Council postponed The Regent Theatre purchase until the upcoming September meeting. Please email Councillors to express your sincere interest in seeing Council purchase The Regent Theatre.

It is vital that anyone who would like to see The Regent become a public asset to express these concerns to your representatives.
